*Student Artists - At least a dozen talented and very creative young folks from the surrounding area are planning to display their fine works during the show, as well. Many of these pieces will be for sale. This year, our student artists range in age from seven years old to college age. Take time to see these kids’ thoughtful and imaginative works.

Musical interlude - On July 2nd and 3rd, we’ve added music in the art show tent for your listening enjoyment. The musical duo of Bill Coleman and David Higginbotham will be playing soft tunes in the art tent from 4:00 to 7:00 on the 2nd, 3:00 to 6:00 on the 3rd . Take this opportunity to soothe your nerves and enjoy the art experience prior to heading out for the rodeo performance.

Collectible items and posters continue to be popular with our patrons and may be purchased at the show.

Hall of Fame - The art tent hosts a colorful display of historical items and photos from the St. Paul Rodeo.

Come and help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Wild West Art Show. A special “thank you” to DJ Classics for continuous participation and to the thousands of patrons who have attended and encouraged us during our first 20 years! We couldn’t have done it without you!!

We’re hoping to see you in the tent… we’ll be watching for you!

Music andCowboy Poetry presented Saturday, July 5, from 1:30 PM ‘til 7:30 PM in the BBQ tent located adjacent to the Wild West Art Show (schedule below). Refreshments available in tent.

  • The Slow Ponies’ all-woman band returns to entertain us with beautiful, melodic harmonies telling stories of the West. The band’s focus is music from the Silver Screen era. These ladies have performed together for over 10 years. Come, sit, listen, and smile…
  • Tom Swearingen, NFR Cowboy Poetry contest winner in 2013 and 2014 will “tickle your fancy” with his tales of life and love in the West as it was and as it is today. Tom’s partner on this outing is Andy Bales who plays guitar and sings up a storm. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear these two cowboys spin the tales and sing the ballads of the Grand Old West.
  • Orchard Mountain String Band is a group of friends playing old time Southern Appalachian Mountain string band music. The band’s rhythmic folk tunes encourage toe-tappin’, finger-rappin’, head-bobbin’, maybe even some thigh-slappin’! Come on over and join the fun!
