Announcers
Behind the mikes this year offering descriptions, explanations, and good humor will be Justin McKee and Jody Carper.
Justin McKee
Justin McKee from Lenapah, Oklahoma started his rodeo career as a steer and calf roper. His "other occupation" is as a rancher and cattle dealer. As a young announcer, he has applied his talents as Master of Ceremonies for Miss Rodeo America pageants, NFR internet audio broadcasts on Prorodeo.com and has qualified as a finalist for PRCA Announcer of the Year several times. We welcome him back to our team and look forward to his good humored and descriptive commentary.
Jody Carper
Jody, now from Jamul, CA, grew up in a small West Texas town competing in both tie down and team roping and in steer wrestling, eventually, focusing on tie down roping as a member of the PRCA and, ultimately, becoming a California Circuit Finalist. In 1991, Jody was well received by audiences when he began working part-time as a rodeo announcer. Jody's interest in athletics led him to becoming a college basketball official in 1998 where he's worked in numerous conferences and in a professional league in the US. This activity opened doors calling both basketball and football games.
