Parade Registration 2023

Preregistration is required for participation in the parade. Online registration is open now and ends June 29, 2023. Number of participants is limited to the first 120 entries received. Late entries will be allowed to fill cancellation spots.

Theme: : Riding, Rocking, & Roping - 87 years of All-American Rodeo

How to Enter:

  1. Fill out the entry form at the bottom of this page. Be sure to provide the descriptive information for use by the announcer at the reviewing stand. Please DO NOT ask questions in this area, as they will not be answered. If you have any questions please email parade coordinators at sprparade@gmail.com.
  2. Deadline for entries is June 29 2023
  3. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 120 RECEIVED
  4. Complete information about staging, placement, parade route, number assignment, etc. will be emailed to you no later than July 2, 2023.

Rules & Regulations for All Entries:

  1. Entries must observe all applicable rules and regulations and follow all instructions from police and parade officials. The St. Paul Rodeo Parade Committee reserves the right to remove any entrant from the parade, either prior to assembly, at assembly, or any time during the parade.
  2. No material, including but not limited to gifts, merchandise, literature, or candy, may be handed out or thrown along the parade route from vehicles and floats. All materials for distribution must be approved by the St. Paul Rodeo Parade Committee Chair at sprparade@gmail.com.
  3. Use of firearms or other noise making devices is prohibited.
  4. Commercial vehicle limit is three, please register each one of them separately.
  5. The gates will close at 9 am. Please make sure your entry is in the staging area by this time.

Floats:

  1. All advertising on entries must be subordinate to the overall design of the entry.
  2. All motorized vehicles in the parade must be driven by licensed operators and have liability insurance.
  3. Floats must be decorated to the theme.
    1. No material, including but not limited to gifts, merchandise, literature, or candy, may be handed out or thrown along the parade route from vehicles and floats. All materials for distribution must be approved by the St. Paul Rodeo Parade Committee Chair at sprparade@gmail.com.

Motor & Business Vehicles

  1. Must be in good operating order
  2. Must have liability insurance and be driven by a licensed driver.
  3. If you are entering more than one vehicle, please enter them separately (limit is 3).
  4. If you are entering a business vehicle without a float, please enter it as a business vehicle, no matter what era it is from.
  5. No material, including but not limited to gifts, merchandise, literature, or candy, may be handed out or thrown along the parade route from vehicles and floats. All materials for distribution must be approved by the St. Paul Rodeo Parade Committee Chair at sprparade@gmail.com.

Motorcycles/Four Wheelers:

  1. Forward motion only.
  2. All tires must remain on the road at all times.
  3. No racing or other fast movements forward.
    1. No material, including but not limited to gifts, merchandise, literature, or candy, may be handed out or thrown along the parade route from vehicles and floats. All materials for distribution must be approved by the St. Paul Rodeo Parade Committee Chair at sprparade@gmail.com.

Equestrian:

  1. No Stallions allowed.
  2. Any rider showing inability to control his/her animal will be deemed unsafe at the Parade Committee’s discretion and will be removed from the parade.
  3. All equestrian entries must load and unload at their staging area. Please limit vehicles to truck and trailer. There will be a drop off area for other riders. Extra cars can be parked in town. If you are planning on riding in the grand entry, please plan on staging at the rodeo grounds and riding/walking down to the staging area.

Marching Groups & Bands:

  1. All marching units will be in full uniform.
  2. All members should be present. You may be asked to perform.
    1. No material, including but not limited to gifts, merchandise, literature, or candy, may be handed out or thrown along the parade route from vehicles and floats. All materials for distribution must be approved by the St. Paul Rodeo Parade Committee Chair at sprparade@gmail.com.
