2022 Royal Court

Hello and Welcome to the St. Paul Rodeo!

We are the 2022 St. Paul Rodeo Royal Court, Queen Sarah Potter (front), Princesses Hope Riesterer (left), and Macy Montgomery (right), and we eagerly await this year's activities during the 86th annual St. Paul Rodeo, June 30 - July 4, 2022!

Plan to join us for a warm and welcoming visit to St. Paul for the world's greatest Fourth of July Rodeo!


Court Chosen

Royal Court members will spend a busy year as ambassadors from the St. Paul Rodeo to the greater Northwest as they appear in parades, rodeos and other events throughout the area. Competition for court membership fills an entire day as talented applicants demonstrate speaking, riding, and impromptu skills.

Princess Hope 
Princess Hope Riesterer, from Silverton, Oregon, is the daughter of Mona and Tim Riesterer. She graduated from Cascade High School in Aumsville in 2018 and obtained a Medical Assisting license from Pioneer Pacific College in 2019. During high school she participated in 4-H, Oregon High School Equestrian Team and Oregon High School Rodeo. She plans to one day continue her medical education and fulfill her dream of having her own horse training barn. Hope will be teaming up with her equine partner, Loxley, an 18 year old quarter horse.
Queen Sarah 
Queen Sarah Potter calls Silverton, Oregon home. She is the daughter of Terrie and Dave Potter and a graduate of Silverton High School. Her high school activities included 4-H, FFA, Oregon High School Equestrian Team and member of the People-to-People ambassador program. She is a graduate of Aesthetics Institute of Portland completing their Master Esthetics Program and is a licensed Esthetician in Oregon. Sarah is currently working to finish her business degree and obtain a Bachelor of Science in equine business with the goal to have her own training and breeding facility. If Sarah isn’t on the family farm, she loves traveling and getting to share her love for the sport of rodeo and western way of life. Her equine partner is her roan quarter horse mare, Jazz.
Princess Macy 
Princess Macy Montgomery, from Tigard, Oregon, is the daughter of Diana Montgomery and Bruce Montgomery. She is a 2021 Graduate of Mountainside High School in Beaverton, Oregon and is studying Construction Management Engineering at Oregon State University. In high school she received three varsity letters in swimming as well as being Team Captain. She has been a member of the St. Paul Rodeo Association for 2 years volunteering on the parade committee and carrying flags in the rodeo. Her equine partner will be Whiskey, an 11-year-old mare.
