On July 1, the St. Paul Rodeo welcomed 65 Oregon legislators, legislative staff, agency representatives, and community leaders for a behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the history, operations, and economic impact of the St. Paul Rodeo during its 90th anniversary celebration.

The afternoon began with a welcome from the Board of Directors and an overview of the rodeo's importance to the local and state economy. Guests toured the grounds, learning about the rodeo's history, Hall of Fame, Agriculture Night activities, St. Paul Rodeo For All, animal care, livestock operations, future facility improvements, security enhancements, sponsor and volunteer engagement, and community fundraising efforts. Along the way, they also heard firsthand from rodeo contract personnel, who shared their experiences competing and working at one of the PRCA's premier rodeos.

The tour highlighted how a community of just over 400 residents and nearly 1,000 volunteers come together to welcome more than 80,000 visitors during the Fourth of July week. Discussions emphasized the rodeo's role in preserving Oregon's agricultural heritage, supporting rural economies, and fostering community partnerships.

Following the tour, guests enjoyed dinner before attending the Agriculture Night performance, experiencing firsthand the traditions, patriotism, and volunteer spirit that have made the St. Paul Rodeo one of Oregon's premier events for 90 years. The event strengthened relationships with policymakers and increased awareness of the rodeo's cultural, agricultural, and economic contributions to Oregon.
