Wednesday, July 1, 2026

The St. Paul Rodeo Board of Directors invites Oregon legislators to join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the St. Paul Rodeo grounds and operations, followed by an evening rodeo performance.

This special event provides an opportunity for policymakers to experience firsthand the people, traditions, and operations that make rodeo one of Oregon’s most important western and agricultural traditions.

Our small town of St. Paul, population 425, welcomes more than 80,000 visitors during the Fourth of July week to take part in the western lifestyle and the sport of rodeo. The St. Paul Rodeo serves as a major economic driver for surrounding communities and helps support local schools, athletic programs, 4-H clubs, churches, civic organizations, and small businesses throughout the Willamette Valley.

In 2026, the St. Paul Rodeo will celebrate its 90th anniversary, alongside America’s 250th anniversary, making it an especially meaningful year to experience the legacy and traditions that have defined the rodeo for generations.

We are committed to preserving the heritage of the western lifestyle while sharing the stories of the cowboys, cowgirls, livestock producers, and contract personnel whose livelihoods depend on rodeo and agriculture. The sport of rodeo follows strict animal welfare and safety standards required by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), and this tour offers a chance to learn more about the care and professionalism behind the scenes.

We encourage legislators to engage with the rodeo and agricultural communities and better understand the cultural and economic importance of rodeo to rural Oregon.
